TATTOO AFTERCARE

The first few days and weeks for a new tattoo are probably the most important.

Make sure you care for it properly.

Because each individual is different the healing times may slightly vary.

We recommend that you follow the advise of your tattoo artist .

DON'T USE VASELINE

Don't soak the tattoo in a hot tub. Have a shower instead.

Don't pick or scratch the scabs that form on your tattoo as it can seriously affect the

colour and quality of your tattoo as well as lead to infection.

Medium - Large Tattoo

When your tattoo is healing and a new layer of skin is forming on top your tattoo your skin is not

as elastic that it would normally be, to avoid skin tearing is best to avoid

exercise before the healing process is complete (11-12 days after tattooing)

Leave the protection that you receive after the tattoo as long as your tattoo artist will tell you to do so.

The tattoo will ooze, this is a normal part of the healing process.

The bandage is there to protect your tattoo from friction, keep air-born bacteria and other contaminants

in the environment from invading your wound.

Wash your hands with a liquid anti-bacteria soap prior to touching or washing your

tattooed skin and before applying any aftercare products.

After removing the bandage cleanse the tattoo area with soap and water.

Don't scrub the tattoo with a brush or towel ( until the tattoo has healed ).

Dry the tattoo area gently patting the area with a clean, disposable towel.

Let the tattoo dry completely ( approx. 10 minutes )

Start applying aftercare cream the day after tattooing (your skin normally releases most of the excess interstitial fluids by then)

Apply thin layer of cream as often as needed, always when tattoo feels dry.

Easy Tattoo - Tattoo after care cream

You can buy the aftercare products in the shop.

If your tattoo is in a place which is prone to friction, cover your tattoo with cling film to protect it.

After the tattoo has healed and you expose your tattoo to direct sunlight you should apply

sun block cream to protect the colour and quality of your tattoo.
